It is an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal published FREE OF CHARGE by the Turkish Association of Curriculum and Instruction (TACI/EPÖDER).

IJOCIS began its publication life by publishing its first issue on June 1, 2011, and accepts articles focusing on the field of curriculum and instruction.

• There are no Article Submission Charges (ASCs),
• There are no Article Processing Charges (APCs),
• There are no language editing fees,
• There are no membership fees for registration to IJOCIS.

The journal provides a platform for the publication of qualitative and quantitative research, original perspectives, theoretical studies, and model proposals related to curriculum and instruction. The primary aim of IJOCIS is to serve as a reliable and reputable source of information at both national and international levels regarding conceptual and applied scientific research in the field of curriculum and instruction. Through IJOCIS, the Turkish Association of Curriculum and Instruction aims to bring together all practitioners in the field, thereby establishing a shared scientific platform for theoretical and practical research in curriculum and instruction.

IJOCIS is indexed and abstracted in ERIC (since 2018), ULAKBIM TR Dizin (since 2015), European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) (since 2023), EBSCO Central & Eastern European Academic Source, Scientific Indexing Services (SIS), Turkish Education Index, Asian Science Citation Index (ASCI), Idealonline, Academindex, and ASOS Index databases. The necessary procedures for indexing in Clarivate are currently underway.
